B747 National PACK ECO Mod (ECO)

Increase reliability and reduce cost. Intelligent PACK control with NASI B747 PACK FCS-ECO reduces high cost PACK operation by 1/3. The Intelligent NASI FCS-ECO Module maintains optimum fuel economy operation of two PACKS with one PACK in standby mode. Fuel burn for Normal three PACK economy operation is 708 pounds/hour 236 pounds/hour per PACK. Fuel burn with NASI PACK FCS-ECO is 472 pounds/hour, reducing fuel burn by 236 pounds/hour (35.2 gal/hr.). Reducing fuel cost $109.00/hr fuel @ $3.10/gal.

MD-11 National Intelligent PACK System (NIPS) for system reliability and fuel economy.

Increase reliability and reduce cost with NASI MD-11 National Intelligent PACK System (NIPS). The NIPS Module maintains optimum fuel economy operation of two PACKS with one PACK in standby mode. Fuel burn for three PACK ECON operation with GE power is 420 pounds/hour, (140 pounds/hour per PACK). With PW power its 669 pounds/hour, (233 pounds/hour per PACK). With GE power NASI MD-11 reduces fuel burn by 140 pounds/hour (20.9 gal/hr.), reducing fuel cost $64.79/hr. (fuel @ $3.10/gal). With PW power NASI MD-11 NIPS reduces fuel burn 233 pounds/hour (34.78 gal/hr), reducing fuel cost $107.82/hr. (fuel @ $3.10/gal).
